In the Egia neighbourhood, El Taller de Aizkol is Donostia's most authentic Basque craft workshop. Carved wood, jewellery with Basque motifs and lauburus in silver and bronze from the hands of local craftspeople.

What you will find

• Lauburus in sterling silver 925 and bronze, from earrings to large pendants — each piece unique and certified
• Decorative makilas in madroño wood hand-carved with traditional motifs engraved in brass
• Miniature txalapartas in beech wood — the oldest Basque instrument in collectible form
• Bowls and carvings in walnut and local oak

Participatory workshops

On Saturday afternoons, introduction workshops in Basque jewellery: learn to engrave the lauburu in copper under the master craftsperson's guidance. No prior experience needed.
